The BWF Sport Science Research Grant 2025/26 application submission deadline is 31 May 2025
The BWF Sport Science Research Grants programme offers research institutions and individual researchers the opportunity to apply for funding to support applied sport science research in badminton.
We especially encourage to apply players and former players who are pursuing or planning to pursue a master’s or PhD in badminton research.
For this year’s funding cycle, BWF is particularly interested in research focusing on the following areas:
- Badminton performance / Player development / Coaching
- Physical activity, mental well-being & overall health
- Injury prevention & strategies / Medical research
- Para badminton / Inclusive badminton
- Organisational performance / National federation development
