Applications where information or documentation is incomplete may not be considered.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1529297797577-2c2fa038-3581&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When can I apply for the BWF Sport Science Research Grants 2026?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The grant application process will open from <strong>1 April 2026 to 31 May 2026<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Applicants are encouraged to download the <strong><em>Application Guidelines<\/em><\/strong> for further information on the grant application process and eligibility criteria. <!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Where can I submit an application?\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be submitted using the below online form.\u00a0\u00a0The online application allows you to submit your complete application securely and quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are encouraged to commence and submit their application as early as possible during the application period due to the large volume of users on the system in the lead up to the closing date. Submitting early ensures that you will not have any last minute technical problems due to the large number of applications being submitted.<\/p>\n<p>* Please fill in the application form in <strong>ENGLISH<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>How can I be sure my application has been submitted?\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have completed your application and click on the &#8220;Submit&#8221; button, you will be directed to a &#8220;Thank you&#8221; page. You may download\/print a copy of your application by clicking on the &#8220;Print or get PDF of answers&#8221;. We strongly advise for you to keep a copy of the application form for your records.<\/p>\n<p>If you have submitted your application but have not been directed to the Thank you page, you may contact us at <a href=\"mailto:sportscience@bwf.sport\">sportscience@bwf.sport<\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>How long will it take to have my application assessed?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As the BWF Research Programme attracts a large number of applications from all over the world, the processing time for applications takes between 4-5 weeks.\u00a0\u00a0All applicants, both successful and unsuccessful will be notified of the outcome of their application.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If my application has been unsuccessful, can I be provided with information as to why?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to the high volume of applications received, the department does not provide individual feedback to unsuccessful applicants.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Should I submit additional documents not listed in the supporting documents of the applicant guidelines?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No. Applicants should not include additional documents which are not listed in the supporting documents table as they will not be taken into consideration.\u00a0 To ensure a fair and equitable assessment, applications are only assessed on the required documents listed in the Supporting Documents section.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>How much funding would each research project receive?<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Typically, a project receives between USD 6,000\u20138,000; however, the final amount will be determined by the BWF, considering the Evaluation Panel&#8217;s feedback.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What can be included as &#8216;investigator allowance&#8217;?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The investigator allowance covers compensation for the researcher&#8217;s time and effort spent on project management, data collection, analysis, reporting, and other research-related activities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Is an\u00a0<span class=\"il\">ethics<\/span>\u00a0approval required in order to conduct the research?\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes. Studies involving human participants require evidence that the research has been approved by research\u00a0ethics\u00a0committee.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Can I submit same project proposal from a previous year?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants may submit the same project proposal twice with the condition of having significant changes introduced.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Privacy Notice&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1713410357109-c2455a3e-92f6&#8243;][vc_column_text]We collect personal information about applicants for the purpose of administering the BWF Sport Science Research Grant Programme.
