{"id":89,"date":"2015-12-10T13:27:31","date_gmt":"2015-12-10T13:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bwfeducation.com\/?page_id=89"},"modified":"2022-10-28T18:32:47","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T11:32:47","slug":"umpires","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/es\/technical-officials\/umpires","title":{"rendered":"Umpires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Umpires have authority over individual matches and are in charge of the court and its immediate surroundings.\u00a0 They ensure that the Laws of Badminton and other regulations are followed during the matches they officiate.<\/p>\n<p>Umpires are initially trained and gain experience within their national federations.\u00a0 Those who show talent and dedication may be nominated by their national federations to progress to the continental level.\u00a0 Finally, umpires who show promise at the continental level may be recommended for advancement to the BWF level.<\/p>\n<p>There are various BWF documents to assist umpires in their learning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Level 1 Umpires&#8217; Manual <\/strong>is aimed at preparing candidates up to the national level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Level 2 Umpires&#8217; Manual<\/strong> is aimed at preparing candidates up to the continental level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Umpires&#8217; Guide to Inclusive Events<\/strong> aims to support umpires in officiating athletes with physical or intellectual disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Level 1 Umpires\u2019 Manual<\/strong> is available in <strong>English<\/strong>, <strong>French<\/strong> and <strong>Spanish<\/strong>.\u00a0 The <strong>Level 2 Umpires\u2019 Manual<\/strong> is available in <strong>English<\/strong>. The <strong>Umpires&#8217; Guide to Inclusive Events<\/strong> is available in <strong>English<\/strong>.
