{"id":10129,"date":"2022-05-09T15:52:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T08:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/?p=10129"},"modified":"2022-09-13T15:59:00","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T08:59:00","slug":"bwf-members-forum-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/es\/whats-new\/bwf-members-forum-2022","title":{"rendered":"BWF Members\u2019 Forum 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the disruption caused by COVID-19, the first <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.bwfbadminton.com\/about\/forum-agm\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>BWF Members\u2019 Forum<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a> in three years \u2013 fittingly themed \u2018Navigating Through the Pandemic\u2019 \u2013 was held in Bangkok on 6 May 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Divided into three sessions, the focus this year was on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Impact of COVID-19 on the membership and the strategies applied to get through a global pandemic.\n<ul>\n<li>Presented by Badminton World Federation Secretary General Thomas Lund.<\/li>\n<li>Attended by panel members Antoine Jean Joseph Diandy (Senegal Badminton Federation President), Jamie Parsons (Badminton Australia Chief Executive Officer), Maggie Brennan (Special Olympics International Manager of Sport Development) and Greysia Polii (BWF Athletes Commission Chair).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Introducing the BWF Physical Activity Policy, approved by the BWF Council in October 2021, to the membership and how it could link in with national programmes to promote badminton to communities, governments, funders and other stakeholders.\n<ul>\n<li>Presented by David Cabello (Chair, Development and Sport for All Committee Showcasing Best Practice).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognise the winning and shortlisted applications of the inaugural <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/corporate.bwfbadminton.com\/about\/member-association-awards\/\">BWF Member Association Awards<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span> and the extraordinary ways in which they have activated badminton nationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;10131,10138,10132,10133,10146,10137,10144,10134,10135,10145,10136,10139,10142,10143,10141,10140&#8243;][vc_tta_accordion active_section=&#8221;1&#8243; collapsible_all=&#8221;true&#8221;][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Plenary Session 1 &#8211; Where are we now?
