{"id":10259,"date":"2022-07-05T06:00:32","date_gmt":"2022-07-04T23:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/?p=10259"},"modified":"2022-07-05T15:11:58","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T08:11:58","slug":"world-badminton-day-badminton-provides-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/es\/whats-new\/world-badminton-day-badminton-provides-opportunity","title":{"rendered":"World Badminton Day &#8211; Badminton Provides Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of World Badminton Day celebrations, BWF hosted a charity coaching clinic with underprivileged children in Selangor, Malaysia on Saturday 2 July 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The project was delivered in partnership with local non-profit organisation, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FUZI-Magic-Building-Bridges-of-Goodwill-1389288311287592\/\">Fuzimagic Goodwill<\/a><\/strong><\/em> <\/span>Society.<\/p>\n<p>Two volunteer coaches and two volunteers from Fuzimagic along with BWF staff provided fun and inclusive badminton activities to 30 children (14 boys and 16 girls) from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/megarkkoa\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Mega Orang Asli Children\u2019s Home<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/a> through the<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong> <a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.shuttletime.sport\/\">BWF Shuttle Time programme<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span>.[vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/ML5f-35g6FM&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_btn title=&#8221;WHAT IS WORLD BADMINTON DAY?&#8221; color=&#8221;pink&#8221; link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fcorporate.bwfbadminton.com%2Fabout%2Fworld-badminton-day%2F|target:_blank&#8221;][vc_column_text]Home Warden, Mr. Robbert, said: \u201cThe children are full of energy and it\u2019s clear they\u2019ve had a lot of fun. Badminton is an excellent activity to keep our children active.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers from Fuzimagic added: \u201cOur aim is to provide underprivileged children the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in agriculture, technology, sport, and environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting them to learn badminton is one way we can help provide the children a better life in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second edition of the BWF CSR Project in Malaysia following the <a href=\"https:\/\/bwfbadminton.com\/news-single\/2019\/04\/06\/bwf-encourages-sport-for-all-through-charity-coaching-clinic\/\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>pilot programme in 2019<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>.
