{"id":5030,"date":"2019-09-25T10:25:28","date_gmt":"2019-09-25T03:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/?p=5030"},"modified":"2019-09-26T13:29:39","modified_gmt":"2019-09-26T06:29:39","slug":"world-coaching-conference-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/es\/whats-new\/world-coaching-conference-a-success","title":{"rendered":"World Coaching Conference A Success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Badminton World Federation (BWF) staged its biannual World Coaching Conference during the recent TOTAL BWF World Championships and TOTAL BWF Para-Badminton World Championships 2019 in Basel, Switzerland, on 22-23 August.<\/p>\n<p>The conference programme provided the latest information about the art of coaching young athletes, including practical sessions and formal presentations.[vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/HWVcc8eOeeo?list=PLA7ZcagI0frAH6ExxkESwwR7Hw6JnKz59&#8243; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]It continues the tradition of giving coaches at all levels access to some world-class coaches and experts within and outside our great game.<\/p>\n<p>Headlining the list of guest speakers was legendary women\u2019s doubles player now coach Zhao Yunlei, former Denmark head coach Lars Uhre, sports performance consultant and mindset coach Allister McCaw, Korea\u2019s para-badminton head coach Kim Myo Jung, and Penny Briscoe OBE, Director of Sport at British Paralympic Association.<\/p>\n<p>BWF President Poul-Erik H\u00f8yer said it was fantastic to have a panel of renowned badminton experts and experts from other spheres to share key issues with our coaches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been BWF\u2019s constant endeavour to consistently promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ultimate aim is to provide the framework to be able to inspire our coaches to continue to develop the next badminton superstars around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn keeping with our \u2018one sport, one team\u2019 theme, it was also great that there was a session on the development of wheelchair athletes,\u201d H\u00f8yer.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4989&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]The conference covered four key topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elite Badminton Coaching<\/li>\n<li>Sports Coaching<\/li>\n<li>Para badminton<\/li>\n<li>Sports Science<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/development.bwfbadminton.com\/basel-2019#1567748477486-83842d11-ecf0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CLICK HERE<\/a><\/span><\/em>\u00a0to access the full conference schedule and relevant materials.
