The training is to prepare players for upcoming major competitions such as the 2022 Youth Olympic Games and 2022 Commonwealth Games.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8656,8655,8657,8660,8658&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>South Africa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Badminton South Africa (BSA) conducted its first national line judges course in Benoni on 20 February. The course was presented by BWF accredited line judge and BSA certificated Technical Official Megan Plaatjies to 13 eager participants.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8661,8662,8663&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Congo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In early March, a two-day Shuttle Time Teachers Course was delivered by Federation Congolaise de Badminton in Brazzaville. More than 20 teachers participated with the aim to develop badminton in Congolese schools.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8664,8666,8665&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Zimbabwe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zimbabwe Badminton Association coped with the pandemic and delivered a series of virtual meetings focused on topics such as \u201cWomen in Badminton\u201d and \u201cStrategic &amp; Operational Planning\u201d. The meetings were successful and ensured the federation continuously engaged local stakeholders in developing the sport.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8667&#8243;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Asia&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613456345101-367408b3-48ad&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>National training camps were delivered by Badminton Federation of Iran in 10 states at the beginning of January to more than 1,000 participants. The federation also delivered four Introductory of Shuttle Time &amp; Coach Education courses to participants from 31 provinces.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8668,8669,8670,8671&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Timor Leste<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A series of junior and senior competitions were organised by Federacao de Badminton de Timor Leste throughout three weekends in January. A total of 194 players (66 girls and 128 boys) participated in the juniors and 210 (62 females and 148 males) participated in the seniors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8673,8672,8674&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Bahrain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bahrain Badminton &amp; Squash Federation established its first national Para badminton team and provided weekly training to players in preparation of upcoming competitions, including the Asian Youth Para Games in November.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8675,8676,8677,8678,8679&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Brunei<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A national training camp aimed at providing a fun and enjoyable badminton experience to young players was organised by the Brunei National Badminton Association in Temburong and Kuala Belait districts. A total of 46 players participated and enrolled into the national talent scouting programme.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8680,8681,8682,8683,8684&#8243;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Europe&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613456368164-707d5a9d-6fe6&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Federazione Italiana Badminton initiated a communication campaign aimed at spreading positive message to the local community through badminton. The federation published two videos: \u201cBadminton, the road to fun!\u201d and \u201cWe are ready &#8230; we can\u2019t wait to start again!\u201d for this initiative.[\/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=&#8221;Watch video&#8221; color=&#8221;primary&#8221; i_icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fas fa-play&#8221; add_icon=&#8221;true&#8221; link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F244684965646351%2Fvideos%2F203522508182193|target:_blank&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>North Macedonia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Shuttle Time seminar was organised by the Badminton Federation of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in Ohrid from 16-24 February. Nine gym teachers from three municipalities \u2013 Ohrid, Struga and Kichevo \u2013 attended to learn more about Shuttle Time.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8685,8686,8687,8688,8689&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Lithuania<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 5-7 March, 16 coaches and 35 athletes attended the coaching workshop and a high-performance training session organised by the Lithuanian Badminton Federation. Both the federation and the coaches worked on a one-year development plan for the athletes.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8690,8691,8692&#8243;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Oceania&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613456381268-50c3da87-4e9d&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Tonga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A total of 16 training sessions were delivered and completed with a tournament by the Tonga National Badminton Association in March. Over 20 sessions were delivered to more than 200 children.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8704,8705,8706,8707&#8243;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Pan Am&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1613456398568-7575cfc8-a334&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Martinique<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From January to February, Ligue de Badminton de Martinique organised a technical official training around the management and organisation of competition for eight participants. A one-week training camp was also provided to top junior and senior players in preparation for local leagues. Four participants from Martinique attended the Shuttle Time Teachers Course in Guadeloupe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8708,8709,8713,8729,8730&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>El Salvador<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AirBadminton Exhibition launched by the Federacion Salvadorena de badminton in March was a success. Utilising the beach volleyball courts at the National Gymnasium \u201cAdolfo Pineda\u201d of San Salvador, the AirBadminton experience on sand was exciting and fun for the players.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;8719,8720,8721,8722,8723&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Guadeloupe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ligue de Guadeloupe de Badminton organised a national senior competition from 6-7 March.
