[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]BWF provides the opportunity for research institutions and individuals to apply for research grants to assist in the funding of applied sports science research in badminton.<\/p>\n

The BWF\u00a0Sports Science Commission\u00a0has three key goals and the research grants assist in achieving these goals:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To encourage and widen interest and investment in applied research in Badminton.<\/li>\n
  2. To improve the level and quantity of scientific material available to players, coaches and badminton practitioners.<\/li>\n
  3. To contribute towards the increased knowledge of performance and safety at the international level \u2013 of coaches and players.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In this year\u2019s funding, BWF are particular interest in research connected to:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Badminton for physical activity and well-being<\/li>\n
    2. Inclusive badminton (people with disabilities\/gender inclusivity\/underprivileged and vulnerable communities\/older adults)<\/li>\n
    3. Injury prevention (BWF Consensus Project developed – pending review<\/em>)<\/li>\n
    4. Dual career for badminton players<\/li>\n
    5. Sustainability in badminton (methodology for: players advocacy \/ badminton events sustainability – materials, processes and legacy)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Individuals and institutions can apply for a grant to assist in their research projects in badminton.<\/p>\n

      we also welcome grant applications from institutions or individual academics conducting research in any of the other areas relevant and specifically applicable to badminton:<\/p>\n

      To apply to the BWF Research Grants, the following steps need to be taken:<\/p>\n

      2.\u00a0 Read the important instructions before filling in the online form<\/p>\n

      3.\u00a0 Apply online using the Online Application Form<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
