Since its inception in 2013, the BWF has supported more than 120 badminton research projects globally across various areas such as biomechanics, physiology, sport psychology, performance analysis, sport injuries/injury prevention, sports engineering and technology, sport sociology and youth development.
In this year’s funding, the BWF is particularly interested in the following areas of study:
- Badminton performance/player development/coaching
- Physical activity, well-being & health
- Injury prevention & medical
- Para badminton/Inclusive badminton
- Organisational/National federation development
In addition, we welcome grant applications from institutions or individual academics conducting research in any other relevant areas which are specifically applicable to badminton.
