HSBC BWF AirBadminton Community Project Unveiled
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) and HSBC jointly launched the AirBadminton Community Project at the Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China on the 11th December 2019.
BWF Event Management Level 2 Course Piloted in Paris
In October of this year, the Event Management Level 2 pilot course was launched, in conjunction with the YONEX French Open in Paris. Part of BWF’s membership capacity-building efforts, the course represents a key component in the Event Management pathway for Member Association personnel.

BWF Para Badminton Development Programmes in 2020!
The BWF is pleased to provide information on three initiatives to support the development of Para badminton globally. Members Associations, National Paralympic Committees and National Para Badminton Associations are invited to submit applications for the following programmes in 2020.
BWF Classifier Workshops in Bangkok
The BWF, in partnership with Sports Association for Disabled of Thailand (SPADT) and Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) hosted a BWF National Level 1 Classifier Workshop and an International Classifier Workshop in conjunction with the Thailand Para-Badminton International in Bangkok.
World Coaching Conference A Success
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) staged its biannual World Coaching Conference during the recent TOTAL BWF World Championships and TOTAL BWF Para-Badminton World Championships 2019 in Basel, Switzerland, on 22-23 August.
AirBadminton Tournament Debuts At Popular Fest
Sunsets Kuopio festival, the largest outdoor sport and entertainment event in Finland, hosted the first AirBadminton tournament last week. The event was conducted in collaboration with Badminton Finland and Savon Sulka Club.
Coach On A Mission
Tonga’s MaryJane Esei Sifa was one of the six coaches and told Badminton Oceania she was on a mission to become Tonga’s first female BWF Level 1 qualified coach during the Pacific Development Squad training camp in New Zealand last month.
Towards Greater Equality on the Field of Play and Beyond
To gain a better understanding of the experiences of female candidates in our Coach Education programme, BWF recently conducted a survey of participants on Coach and Tutor courses. Questions were aimed at learning about their motivation for attending a course, their experiences on the course and their professional situations after the course.
