The BWF and SOI work in together with regional and national partners to deliver number of development and educational programmes.

Regional partnerships between BWF Continental Confederations and SOI Regional Programmes; and national partnerships between National Badminton Federations and National Special Olympics Programmes, ensure maximal impact and sustainability of all activities and projects.

2021

Special Olympics United Arab Emirates (UAE) and UAE Badminton Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) pledging to provide training support for Special Olympics UAE badminton players competing at the 2023 World Games in Berlin, Germany on 21 November 2021.
With support from Badminton World Federation (BWF) and AirBadminton Dubai, 26 Special Olympics United Arab Emirates (UAE) athletes showcased their talents at Expo 2020 Dubai on 8 October 2021.

Special Olympics UAE and the Arab Badminton Federation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strategic partnership to develop badminton across Special Olympic competitions.

Shuttle Time activities in Guam delivered by Guam National Badminton Federation with the Special Olympic Guam.

2018

Regional Shuttle Time Training in Singapore delivered by BWF with Special Olympic Asia Pacific.
Shuttle Time Teacher Training Workshop in Fiji delivered by Badminton Oceania with Special Olympics Asia Pacific & Special Olympic Fiji.
MOU between Special Olympic Asia Pacific, Badminton Oceania Confederation and Badminton Asia signed during the BWF AGM in Nanning.

2017

Shuttle Time Coaches’ Workshop in Arizona delivered by BWF for Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ) and the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).
The 9th Special Olympic National Games in Brunei with the introduction of Shuttle Time by Brunei Darussalam Badminton Federation to Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam (SOBD) and Special Education Unit Ministry of Education.
